Frequently Asked Questions

How do Bliss downspouts work?

Bliss Ecospray is a technological innovation based on high-performance spraying confined by air blades. When the 2 air blades meet, the turbulence effect improves the quality of treatment at the heart of the vegetation. An induction effect amplifies the suction flow by a factor of 5 and retains stubborn drops.

Does the airflow damage the vines?

At the first leaf or bud stage, which are the most fragile
the most fragile stages, the air flow does not damage the vines in any way.

What is the minimum airflow required to feed Bliss downspouts?

The minimum flow rate required to feed downspouts is 1000m3 of air per hour per ring.

How is Bliss Ecospay technology different from other existing technologies?

Our technology has several advantages over other existing technologies:

Aerocontainment reduces drift and turbulence generated inside the air prison, and enables better treatment of the heart of the foliage and leaves on both sides.

What is the price of Bliss Ecospray downspouts?

How many Bliss rings are required?

Bliss Ecospray downspouts are recommended for face-to-face treatment.

To treat 2 rows of narrow vines, you need 2 single downcomers on the sides and 1 double downcomer in the center.

To treat 2 rows of wide vines, 4 single downcomers are required.

Can Bliss Ecospray downspouts be used for half-row spraying?

It is possible to treat your vines in half rows, but this is not the recommended use. The principle of aeroconfinement is to treat two sides at once.

Where can I find Bliss Ecospray downpipes?

BLISS Ecospray downspouts are distributed in most French vineyards by our partner dealers.

You can also contact us and we’ll direct you to the partner dealer in your area.

What evidence is there of the technology's effectiveness?

Our technology was first tested following a precise, standardized protocol on artificial vines. Our equipment was then tested under real conditions in 15 partner vineyards throughout the 2022 season.

Several trials carried out with independent experts, Chambers of Agriculture and Interprofessions confirmed the results in terms of drift reduction and spray quality right down to the heart of the foliage.

At what distance from foliage should Bliss Ecospray downspouts be positioned?

The distance for using Bliss Ecospray downspouts is between 10 and 40 cm, with an optimum distance of 25cm. If the distance is greater than 40cm, we recommend increasing the air speed exiting the rings.

What dose of treatment is recommended?

There are no restrictions. The choice of nozzles reflects the flow rate. You can therefore spray :

low volume: 90L/ha

standard volume: 150L/ha

high volume 230L/ha and more.

What is the recommended spray pressure?

The nozzle manufacturer’s recommendations must be followed. We recommend using nozzles supplied at at least 4.5 bar.

What is the recommended processing speed?

Our Bliss Ecospray downspouts can be adapted to all conventional spraying speeds, from 4 to 6 km/h on average.

Above this speed, however, the quality of spraying is affected by the forward speed, so trials are needed to validate the use of higher speeds.

What are the recommendations for mounting BLISS downspouts on my sprayer?
